hinton+grusich has properties all across the United States, right? And how does one get across the United States, provided one wants to see lots of things up close and personal? You guessed it: Road trip! This is the sketch we presented to the client, showing concepts for a foldout road map, push-pin kiosks and, inexplicably, a very tiny cartoon woman drinking a soda.

A great event requires a great logo. A great event does not necessarily require a topographically accurate, climatologically color-coded logo with a die-cast convertible, but it never hurts.

This is the event invitation that was sent to meeting planners. The design included striations and other markings that evoke the face of a compass. By the way. if you're ever looking for a synonym for "lines", may I suggest "striations"? It has two extra syllables that make you seem like a real sharp guy.

We used the Road Trip! logo as the masthead for a "Save the Date" email that was sent to exhibitors. By the way, you probably think we just opened the email and took this photo, no problem. But you're forgetting about something very important, and that is screen glare.

A road-map-sized brochure that was distributed at the event. The photos document a rollicking sojourn through the beating heart of America. The trip was both spiritually uplifting and completely made up.

Another view of the brochure. The colored panels were used as part of a prize giveaway system. Yeah, they have systems for that now.

Inside the brochure was a road map that featured useful facts about hinton+grusich properties. And a buffalo.

To welcome attendees to the event, we used this extremely large sign and the very latest in easel technology.

The hinton+grusich name in lights.

One of four custom-fabricated bar facings created for the show. This one is for the Northwest bar. Look, moose antlers!

We thought it would be cute to have road signs serve as a kind of post-ironic visual metaphor for negotiating the event space. And you know what? It was cute.

In the end, a huge crowd showed up to take a Road Trip! with hinton+grusich. Their final destination? Success. Glorious, slightly drunken success.
